Originally from Wallasey, Louise began her career in the fitness industry, teaching aerobic classes for a local health-based charity.
In 1995 she left to travel the world and subsequently settled in Hong Kong where for the next 19 years she worked as a personal fitness trainer. She eventually established a private fitness coaching service which allowed her to focus on areas of personal interest including movement with ageing populations (having watched how Chinese seniors prioritised daily exercise in the parks she was impressed with their health, longevity and movement ability).
Pilates became another piece of the puzzle and She first qualified in Mat Pilates in 2005 with Polestar Pilates U.S. However, the studio equipment began to intrigue her more and more: many of the exercises were performed in upright positions, which made more sense from a functional perspective, and this apparatus allowed even those recovering from injury to maintain strength and function. After her first Reformer class she was hooked: she returned to the Polestar studio to study and certify in Studio Equipment Pilates in 2009.
The call of home beckoned and Louise returned to Wallasey in 2014. Initially she was surprised that there were no other equipment pilates studios on the Wirral and so, after tiring of the long commute to Warrington each day (the nearest equipment studio) she decided it was time to open her own.
During this time she has also been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work at Wirral Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy Clinic, Thoughton Hough, where she has assisted with post-rehab clients in their journey to recovery.
